Boracay to "bora"

When we say “Bora” the first thing that will come to our mind especially for Filipinos is the Island of Boracay. This island is being visited by thousands of tourist from around the world every year because of its famous white sand beach.

I haven’t been to this island yet but is looking forward spending a vacation here soon. It took me some time to decide of visiting its white beach because this island is quite expensive for some local tourist but I finally decided to go because I’ve always wanted to experience its beauty myself.

Since it was my first time to visit, first thing I did was to search for the best deal available on the web. One of the searches I made was mistakenly typing “Bora accommodation” “bora” short for Boracay; though it is unintentional a very interesting find came to my surprise.

My incorrect search took me into one of the unbelievable sight I’ve seen in pictures. It’s Bora-Bora Island. This Island is very magnificent and I really wish to be able to turn those photos into reality or to have ability like “the jumper” so I can jump in to the picture and wola I am there!

For those who haven’t had an Idea about this paradise then you might want to take note of this.

Bora-bora Island is situated about 230 kilometers (140 mi) northwest of Papeete, it is surrounded by a lagoon and a barrier reef and in the center of the island are the remnants of an extinct volcano rising to two peaks, Mount Pahia and Mount Otemanu. It currently belongs to Leeward group of the Society Islands of French Polynesia. It was first called “Pora-pora” a Tahitian language meaning “First Born”.

Bora-bora is one of the major international tourist destination renown with its aqua-centric luxury resorts. See it for yourself and be amazed and if you happened to be here already you may want to share your experience to give life to these photos.

Lesson learened: Address Boracay appropriately, as we tend to always use those shortcut that doesn't might actually miss lead others.

In addition to: Boracay place a new Island rule begging tourist to call it BORACAY and not BORA which is the name of the resort found above.
